The phone app: Today and My Jobs

What you see when you open the Operacora phone app, how your jobs are grouped, and what happens when you have no signal.

The phone app is made for working on your feet: big buttons, big photos, plain words. Sign in with the email or phone number your manager set up, and your password. It has three tabs at the bottom: Today, My Jobs and Map.

Today#

Today greets you and shows three big tiles: To do (jobs assigned to you), Waiting for parts, and Done today (jobs you finished on this phone today). Tap a tile to open the list. Below them:

• the time clock card, to clock in and out (see Clock in and out), with My hours;
• My agenda: your jobs and shifts for the week (see My agenda);
• Report a problem (see Report a problem).

My Jobs#

One list of everything assigned to you, grouped as Emergency, Urgent, Normal and Need Parts, most urgent first. Each job shows its room, building, priority, the start of the description and its photo. Tap a job to open it.

On a job you see the building, the room, What needs doing and every photo. The job number is at the top; tap it to copy it. The buttons at the bottom are explained in Finish a job.

You only ever see jobs assigned to you. When a manager gives you a job, it appears here; pull down on the list to refresh.

Inside each group, new jobs are on top, like email. If your organization allows it, the Order buttons above the list let you choose Newest, Oldest, Closest (nearest to the room of the last job you opened, or the room code you scanned) or Due date. Your phone remembers your choice. Emergency and Urgent jobs always stay above Normal ones. A job that has waited a long time shows a Waiting 3 days tag. See Job order.

Map#

The Map tab shows your jobs on the floor plans (Floors) and outdoors (Grounds). Pinch or use the buttons to zoom, and tap a pin to open the job. The map needs a connection.

No signal? Keep working#

The app keeps a copy of your jobs on the phone, so it opens instantly and works in basements and stairwells.

• Anything you do without signal is saved on the phone and marked Saved. Sending when online.
• Photos upload in the background when you are back online.
• If something could not be sent, the app says so; tap it to try again. Your work is not lost.
• If someone else changed the job meanwhile, the app shows the latest version and tells you.

Managers on the phone#

If you are a manager, you get Today, Inbox and Map instead: the Main Inbox with tiles for New, Urgent and Emergency, and on each job Assign to a worker and Change priority. See Main Inbox on your phone.
