Turning the time clock on or off

The time clock is a switch for your organization. Off hides clocking in and out, My hours, timesheets and calendar shifts for everyone; nothing is deleted.

The time clock is on for a new organization. A top-level manager can turn it off or on again in Settings › Location and time clock, under Time clock.

When it is off#

• The phone app shows no time clock card and no My hours.
• The portal shows no Time clock page in the menu, and no Time clock shifts layer on the calendar. Reports show no hours.
• The server refuses clocking in and out and every timesheet request with the message "The time clock is turned off for your organization."
• Location mode While clocked in can't be used. On site during work hours works without the time clock.

Nothing is deleted#

Shifts, corrections, their history and timesheets stay as they are. Turn the time clock back on and everything comes back. Someone who was clocked in when it was turned off is shown clocked in again when it returns; correct the shift if needed.

Turn it off#

1. If the location mode is While clocked in, choose another mode first.
2. Press Turn the time clock off, read what happens, and press Turn it off.
