Install it in a minute#

Do this on the Android phone itself.

  1. Download. Open this page on your phone in Chrome and tap Download for Android. If Chrome says this type of file can harm your device, that is the standard warning for every app that doesn't come from Google Play. Check the address bar says operacora.com, then tap Download anyway.
  2. Open the file. Tap Open when the download finishes, or find operacora in your Files › Downloads.
  3. Allow this one install. The first time, Android says Chrome isn't allowed to install apps. Tap Settings, turn on Allow from this source, then go back.
  4. Install. Tap Install. If Google Play Protect offers to scan the app, let it scan. Then tap Open.
  5. Sign in with the email or phone number your organization set up for you, and your password.
  6. Optional: switch the setting back off. Go to Settings › Apps › Chrome › Install unknown apps and turn it off. Operacora stays installed.

Is "Install unknown apps" safe? It is Android's normal way to install an app that doesn't come from Google Play. The permission only lets the one app you choose (here, Chrome) start an install, and Android still asks you before anything is installed. Only download Operacora from operacora.com, and if you see a warning you didn't expect, stop and write to hello@operacora.com.

Updating#

After that, the app keeps itself up to date and offers new versions itself (how updates work). You can also download the newest version here and install it over the old one. Your sign-in and saved work stay on the phone.

For IT teams#

The package name is com.operacora.app. Compare the file's SHA-256 checksum with the one shown above before sending it out with a device-management tool.

Use it in your browser#

Operacora also runs in any modern browser at app.operacora.com, and you can install it like an app. It's the best way on a computer, and on iPhone until the App Store app is ready.

iPhone and iPad#

Open app.operacora.com in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen.

Android#

Open app.operacora.com in Chrome, tap the menu ⋮, then Add to Home screen or Install app.

Computer#

In Chrome or Edge, open app.operacora.com and choose the install button in the address bar, or Install in the menu.

What the web app can't do#

Clocking in with location and scanning room codes need the phone app. Everything else works in the browser.
