Terms of Use

Version 2026-10-19 · Effective October 19, 2026

These terms are for everyone who uses Operacora: the web portal, the phone app and anything sent to an organization's texting number or email address. They are written in plain words. If something is unclear, write to hello@operacora.com.

Who is who

Your account

Using Operacora fairly

Your organization's settings and duties

Your organization chooses the settings and is responsible for them. When it turns on the time clock, location sharing or on-site job photos, it is responsible for telling its people about it, for any notice or agreement the law where it operates requires, and for using the information fairly. Operacora follows the organization's settings and does not decide them.

Location and monitoring

Some features use your phone's location, only when your organization turns them on and only after you agree in the app. The Location and Monitoring Notice explains exactly what is collected, when, why, who sees it, how long it is kept, and how to stop. You can stop sharing at any time in the phone app's Location settings; the app keeps working for your jobs.

Students and children

Operacora is for staff, not for students. Schools must not create accounts for students or for children under 13, and should not put students' personal details into jobs or notes beyond what the work needs (for example a room number). Teachers and staff may report problems by text or email without an account.

Content

Jobs, photos, notes and other records belong to your organization. Operacora uses them only to provide the service to your organization, keeps each organization's information separate, and never sells it or uses it for advertising. The Privacy page explains more.

Security

We protect information in transit and at rest, check every request against the person's role and organization, and serve photos and files only after a permission check. No system is perfectly secure; tell us at once if you notice a problem.

Availability and changes to the service

We work to keep Operacora available and correct, and we improve it often. It is provided as it is: to the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will never be interrupted or contain mistakes, and we are not responsible for losses caused by using it beyond what the law requires.

Changes to these terms

Each version has a date. When we change these terms in a way that matters, we publish the new version here and the app asks you to read and agree again. Earlier versions are available on request.
